Christian Endurance Cycling

The jersey pictured represents an initiative that I pray will attract similarly-minded cyclists with whom to share a love of endurance cycling and who also desire to use this type of physical exertion as a metaphor for presenting their bodies to God as a living sacrifice, thereby bringing glory to God in their body, the temple of the Holy Spirit.

It has occurred to me that an explanation is in order for the jersey’s design:

The bands’ colors represent, from bottom to top: black = sin; red = Christ’s redeeming blood; white = cleansed from sin through the blood; green = our future heavenly home.

The figure is a bicycle resting against an empty cross, upon which sits a cyclist’s helmet. The bicycle represents our efforts to persevere or endure in the faith, which, of course, are not ours to do at all, but through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit; as Christians, we rest in the completed work of Christ on the cross, which is empty because He accomplished His work once for all time, Whose body was broken and Whose blood was shed once for the deliverance from sin for all who believe; thus, finally, the helmet of salvation, procured for us by Yeshua, our Deliverer, Who rose and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, from whence He will return to establish an everlasting kingdom, in which we whom He redeemed by His blood will truly enjoy Him forever.

יהוה ישוע מרנאתא‎ – ερχου κυριου Ιησου – μαραν αθα – Maranatha Lord Jesus, come quickly!

The above jersey and related kit items, which I designed and commissioned, can hopefully still be ordered from https://hillkiller.com/. I do not have an account with them or any other business relationship.
